October 2009 Vol. VI Issue # V Hello Everyone! We’re just days away from the only night of the year when ghosts, witches and goblins abound, knocking on doors and hollering, “Trick or treat!” The word Halloween actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. But in the 5th century BC in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain (pronounced sow-in), which means "end of summer," the Celtic New year. Whatever the meaning get the candy ready, turn down the lights and turn up the spooky music. Who knows, maybe a real ghost will make an appearance!  Deborah Shaw says a trick or treater at the front door of this house was unaware of two deaths that had occurred here: her grandmother and a woman who lived here before her parents bought the house. Mary’s Sixth Sense Began In Childhood "I have a history of paranormal experiences from when I was a child," says Mary Scheib of New Orleans, Louisiana. The now 59-year-old says her experiences with the other side began when her maternal grandmother crossed over, just before her eighth birthday. Her grandmother came to live with them shortly after Mary was born and the two of them even shared a bedroom. In fact, Mary says, "She died sitting in her recliner, which was in that bedroom." That physical closeness during her grandmother’s life led to a continued rapport after her death. "I don't remember this incident, but my brother said that I used to talk to my grandmother after she died," she said. At 8 years old another unusual event occurred. It was October 9, 1958 (a year after her grandmother died (October 8, 1957). "My mother had gotten me up to get dressed for school and I told her about the Pope dying as soon as I sat up in bed. She figured I was just dreaming, as he hadn't been in the best of health and was in his 80's. We got dressed and left the house to go to school. My mother taught at the same Catholic school I attended, so when the principal announced (the death of Pope Pius XII) over the PA system… my mother was ready to flip out. When we left to go home after school, as soon as we hit the car she asked how I had known… I told her that 'Nonnie" had told me about it early that morning." Not only was her mother shocked, but her brother as well. "My brother told me years later that I gave him a case of the creeps, since he heard me tell my mother about it that morning and heard about it during the day." Mary’s mother was concerned about the state of her daughter’s mental health and took her to see a child psychologist. The psychologist felt that perhaps the trauma of her grandma dying in their house was the cause of her strange behavior and suggested they move. Shortly afterward, they did move to another house. However, Mary’s innate abilities did not change. "Two years later, I was sitting in my 5th grade class when around 1:30 p.m., I felt a pain in my chest like severe heartburn. A little while later, I was called out of the classroom and saw my mother standing in the hall. Before she could say anything, I started crying and just said, 'Daddy's dead.' I just knew it… don't know how. He had died at work of a massive heart attack." Aside from her grandmother’s messages, Mary began receiving warnings from a friend who had been killed in a car crash in 1969. "Once she even warned me about a man who was following behind me along the curb in his car. I heard her voice behind me telling me to turn around and look right away and then after I did and saw the guy, she said to run. The warning gave me time to run away home and call the police. I gave them a description of what he looked like but I didn't remember anything about the car except that it was blue. Then I heard my friend's voice in my ear repeating a license plate number. I gave it to the police officer taking the report. About an hour later, he called and said that the description I gave fit a suspected rapist the police had been trying to pick up, and the license was for a stolen car." Had it not been for her friend’s warning, who knows what might have happened to her. Yet another strange incident occurred in March 2001 when her brother Nick was terminally ill. In deep depression, he had left the house and no one knew where he’d gone. "I came home and found the (suicide) note, reported it to the police but they said that until he was gone 24 hours, he wasn't considered a missing person. So my significant other and I went out hunting all over town to try to find him or his car. Finally around 11:30 p.m., I said out loud, 'you have to tell me where you are. I won't go home until I find you.'" All of a sudden, she knew where to look. "Sure enough, he parked his car near a field on the outskirts of town and had started to go into the field where he shot himself." Mary says Nick has returned a few times since that fateful night. "About six weeks after his death, I fell and broke my shoulder. I had taken some days off work, as I was in tremendous physical pain, as well as still being distraught over his death. I was lying in bed and hadn't taken anything for pain yet, so I know it wasn't a drug-induced hallucination. I had just asked out loud as I was crying, 'Why did you do it? Why did you leave without even saying goodbye?' As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I felt someone sit on the edge of my bed. I looked and it was my brother, looking like he was about 21 rather 58, his age at death. He put his arms around me and said he hadn't said goodbye because he never left. He said that he would be around whenever I needed him and that everything was going to be okay. He kissed me on the cheek and then disappeared." Mary thought perhaps due to her deep grief over the loss of her brother that she might be imagining things. However, when she spoke with her partner, she realized that his otherworldly visit was the real deal. He had seen her brother walking along the halls of the house a few times since he’d died. A friend who stayed with them temporarily also saw Nick. "She asked me shortly after she moved in if I had seen Nick in the house since he died. I said that I had and asked why she asked. She replied that when she was looked toward the kitchen, he was standing by the dining table watching her and smiling. As soon as she started to walk toward him he disappeared." It seems Nick also kept his word about watching out for his sister too. "We lost the memory card in Hurricane Katrina but we had a couple of pictures from a digital camera showing a smoky looking presence holding up a tree branch that had broken during a bad wind storm and fallen on the power line to my house. When the power company repairmen came out, they said that they didn't know how the line didn't break because the branch was that heavy. Everyone who saw the picture just said one thing: 'It's Nick!'" Mary has seen many other spirits come and go over the year as well and her experiences have led her to believe "that when there's a strong bond of love, it can surmount anything, even death. I don't believe in ghosts, per se, but I do believe that our souls live on in another plane after death, whether you call it heaven or what. What Lurks on the Exorcist Stairs!  This photo was taken in Georgetown, D.C. at the scene of where the priest falls down the stairs in The Exorcist. A Child Ghost Is Living In My House! "It's official," says my friend, co-writer and author Dawn Colclasure. "A child ghost is living in my house!" Dawn posted a blog recently in which she recounted what happened one evening while cleaning up a food mess on her son, Jesse’s high chair. "I had the high chair just outside of the dining area and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the figure of a child going into my bedroom. I thought it was (my daughter) Jennifer because I saw a thin frame and small white legs." "Jennifer, you're supposed to be in bed," she said still cleaning up. "Just earlier, the kids had had their shower/bath and the baby was asleep. I knew I'd left that room with Jennifer getting into bed. After I cleaned up a big gob of old spaghetti off the chair, the whole time with the door to my room in view, I went to the bedroom expecting to find her in there, going through things she wasn't supposed to be going through. But... she wasn't in there. I froze, holding my breath. I walked out of the room and slowly walked to the other bedroom. Sure enough, my daughter was in bed. Sleeping!" Now Dawn believes a child ghost might be haunting them or perhaps just visiting her own children. "It would explain the many times that I've found things moved around or books on the floor that were on shelves shortly after I moved here! (In all honestly, I thought somebody broke into my house and nosed through my stuff.)" But this was not the first time Dawn saw the little girl ghost in her house. And somehow, she felt that she’d originally been drawn to the place and quite literally, had to rent it. "As I stood in the kitchen talking with my future landlord, I got a very strong impression that a man and his daughter had lived here. They might as well have been in the same room as we were! I felt that impression so strongly, but I didn't say anything about it... until now. I do know a man lived here before me. Actually, a couple lived here. Maybe it's not them, but residents from way back when or something." Whatever the case, Dawn says she plans to look into the history of the house in an attempt to determine who lived there before and might have had children. Translucent Beings Appear in Wisconson A most unusual story has come to light in the past few days about a woman in Wisconsin who claims that she saw translucent beings sitting in a tree just outside her rear window. The woman says she was simply watching television one morning in July while sitting in her recliner when she was startled by the beings that appeared to stand side-by-side. She added“ each entity was somehow attaching itself to the tree four feet off the ground.” She described the beings as about six inches wide and a foot tall with extremely long arms. Their faces were “cone-shaped” with conical snouts but few other features. Although she could clearly see them, she noted that they "appeared to be translucent and did not reflect light properly." The woman sat frozen in her chair for a good four minutes while she and the creatures stared at each other. Finally, she got up the nerve to get up and run out the front door over to her neighbor’s. "I was afraid they would come in and abduct me," she said. "Or do experiments as we hear about what happens to people." While one could believe the woman was simply delusional, it seems her boyfriend later confirmed what she’d seen. He asked her if she’d seen anything weird outside their window. She said yes, but did not explain because she wanted to know what he saw first. He then proceeded to talk about three creatures with cone-shaped faces that he saw riding some type of platform and busy working at a control panel. He said their bodies were translucent and the platform was a milky color. He told her he watched them for about four minutes. The woman then shared her sighting and two days later while they both sat watching television, the woman saw one of the beings hanging outside the window again. Her boyfriend was so terrified that he refused to look. The woman said it stared blankly at her and then vanished. According to the report on this story, the two of them are shaken by their experiences. They wonder why these creatures have been appearing, where they’re from and what they might want from them. Lid Blown Off Life On Mars The Iranian Air Force has reported that three unknown, bright objects were detected on their radar as they flew over the Persian Gulf. The air force managed to shoot one of them down and a search is currently underway to find the remains of the downed craft. Hopefully, there will be more info forthcoming on this most recent story. Lid Blown Off Life On Mars Teleporting into space seems to no longer remain only in the realm of Star Trek. Arthur Neumann and Andrew D. Basiago say the U.S. government has been withholding tons of information about teleportation to Mars, American bases on Mars and the intelligent extraterrestrials who live there. At the European Exopolitics Congress in Barcelona in July of this year, Mr. Neuman stated: "There is life on Mars. There are bases on Mars. I have been there." This man, formerly known as Henry Deacon for fear of retaliation, revealed that through a defense department project, he was teleported to a base on Mars and participated in a one-hour meeting with representatives of an as yet, unrevealed intelligent civilization that lives in cities under the surface of Mars. Mr. Basiago, a 47-year-old lawyer, said he was a child participant in a secret time travel project launched by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Dubbed Project Pegasus, which operated between 1969 and 1972, Basiago said he was also teleported and added the government was training a group of gifted American school children, including himself to become our first “chrononauts” or time-space explorers up until 1981. Both trips were made via a “jump room” located at a CIA facility in El Segundo, CA. The apparent purpose of the trips to Mars was to familiarize him with Mars because the CIA knew of his destiny as the discoverer of life on Mars and deemed it important that he visit Mars and experience it first-hand. At the summit in Barcelona, he revealed the "awe-inspiring and terrifying" trips he took to Mars in 1981 after he was tapped to go there because he had teleported as a child participant in Project Pegasus. He also "confirmed that in 1970, in the company of his late father, Raymond F. Basiago, an engineer for The Ralph M. Parsons Company who worked on classified aerospace projects, he met three Martian astronauts at the Curtiss-Wright Aeronautical Company facility in Wood Ridge, New Jersey while the Martians were there on a liaison mission to Earth and meeting with US defense-technical personnel." At the summit, Command Sgt. Major (USAF retired) Robert Dean showed a video that reveals satellite images of an apparent city under the surface of mars, as well as suspected bases on the surface. See for yourself below: Mr. Neumann speaks about the details of his teleportation to Mars for a one-hour project meeting on Mars attended by Martian humanoids: Mr. Neuman says that by 1968, the CIA was teleporting people to the past and future to retrieve artifacts and bring them back. As well, holograms were captured of past and future events using a device called a chronovisor. Both Neumann and Basiago are apparently intelligent, credible professionals with histories as former participants in top secret projects sponsored by U.S. government agencies. Their separate and independent revelations that each has secretly teleported to bases on Mars provide strong corroborative evidence for the existence of a liaison program between the Mars residents and the U.S. government, including the CIA. The two can only speculate as to why their Mars ventures were so vital to the U.S. It may have been simply diplomacy or it could entail the American need to set up its own defense bases there. "All I know is that it was a journey to Mars that the CIA had determined that I absolutely had to make and that I could not decline," said Basiago, who is founder and president of the Mars Anomaly Research Society (MARS). "Today, I’m glad that I went to Mars, because it gave me an understanding of what Mars is like, and this understanding informs the works of natural history that I am currently writing about life on Mars." Mr. Basiago’s paper heralding his discovery of life forms on Mars, together with approximately 40 other research monographs that he has written proving that Mars is an inhabited planet, can be accessed here. The Dreaming Man on Mars  Many complex and ancient terra-form have been discovered in the Reull Vallis of Mars thanks to the Mars Orbiter Express of the European Space Agency. There are about nine statues that seem to be of human or animal faces, as well as ground drawings that appear to be primates and canines. There is also a pyramid-shaped land form. Basiago believes there’s a connection between Mars and ancient Egypt. "My speculation is that Ancient Mars was a colony of Ancient Egypt, rather than vice versa. I say this because Earth had the abundant biosphere that could have sustained ancient civilization in its attempt to reach Mars. The Great Pyramid at Giza and the Great Platform at Baalbek, which may have been an ancient launch pad, may be evidence of this effort. I find it far less compelling that human beings on Mars reached Earth first, given Mars' far less fertile environment. The human beings on Mars are probably the descendants of colonists from Earth, separated from us by the solar system catastrophe of 9,500 BC." The primary character is actually Byron Prior, the oldest of the siblings who has tried everything he could then and since to bring the perpetrators to justice. This past summer, Byron, who has spent 50 years fighting the court system, was charged with slander by one of the more prominent perpetrators – a former politician. Instead of Byron finally having his day in court, he was deemed not guilty due to a mental disorder and ordered to spend time in the Waterford Mental Hospital in St. John’s to undergo evaluation. Everyone who knows him or knows of him is outraged by this move and support is growing daily to try to help him in some way.
